An Inconvenient Truth: Summary

In the movie "An Inconvenient Truth”, released in 2006, former US presidency candidate Al Gore talks about global warming and how it affected his life in many different ways.

He defines global warming in a way in which the audience can understand easily. He shows graphs about global warming and what he has done to inform people about the problem.

Gore gives a detailed idea about what is going to happen if nothing is done.

He first became aware of the problem when he was studying in Harvard during the 1970's. There were many events that changed his way of thinking such as losing the presidency in the year 2000; it was a sort of awakening for him because after losing, he began a global warming mission.

If this continues, there won't be a good outcome, many people and animals will lose their homes. Also the floods in the US have been a result of global warming.

According to Gore, if the ice sheets continue to melt, the melt water will enter the ocean, thus stopping the cycle of the oceans and the climate will change in countries so the cold country for example Greenland will be warm and vice versa.

To conclude, the narrator tells us the best way to stop global warming is to reduce the CO2 levels in the atmosphere by making the cars more efficient and growing more trees.
